The boarding Houses are a home away from home.

They are a space for community building and shared brotherhood where we foster self-resilience, time management and a sense of independence under the supervision of Residential staff, Wardens and House Mothers/ Dorm Parents.

A well planned schedule for self study hours, leisure, sports, movie time on weekends and lights out routines keeps the children clocking into a cycle that balances fun and academics.

Yes, feeling homesick comes rolling naturally but the school continues to provide support and activities to help a child warm up to his new home and buddies coming from different backgrounds.

The fresh mountain air and the green drapery of trees provides not just a perfect environment for studies but learning to respect in a joint space while forming memorable bonds for life.

Boarding Houses

The school offers nutritious and fully vegetarian meals and continues to give its students diet fulfilments as and when students are in need of it. The students not only enjoy meals but also birthday celebrations together with the teachers in the dining room. DIRS has a unique tradition of making birthday celebrations of its staff and students a memorable one for everyone.

Diet requirements are also closely monitored when specifications are mentioned by the doctors. The school also takes care of special meals for festivities or when students abide by religious practices such as fasting.

Phone call timings

Sunday in DIRS is reserved for all the students to make weekly calls to their parents and the school administration ensures that the calling timings and slot of their ward is shared in advance to ensure hat hassle free communication is shared between the child and his parents. Students are allowed to make special calls on their birthdays and also in case of other celebrations at home (after permission).
